Text truncation is the process of shortening the content of text. It is usually followed by an ellipsis, which are three points. This can be done by eliminating words that are not necessary for understanding the meaning of the sentence. The syntax for this function is RIGHT (string, length), where string is the field or string being truncated, and length indicates the amount of the string being extracted. A truncation operation in the code can take a number with several digits to the left of the decimal point and truncate that number into an integer. Truncation, also called derivation, is a technique that broadens the search to include multiple word endings and spelling variations. TRUNCATE TABLE removes all rows from a table, but the structure of the table and its columns, constraints, indexes, etc. remain. Using truncation can help you complete your search faster as you won't have to manually type and search every variation of a word.
It can also be useful to end sentences with ellipsis to clarify what is being said and draw attention to main points. However, try not to overuse them as it can make your writing seem choppy.
